Dubai: Global Village will be transformed into a fully festive canvas this Ramadan, with several new and rich offerings, including sumptuous Iftar and Suhoor deals, it was announced today.
Visitors can also shop at the all-new Ramadan Wonders Souk, a new market that lies at the heart of the village.
The souk will be themed after a traditional Emirati market and will provide visitors with Ramadan samples from different pavilions.
Global Village will also run the Step Challenge this Ramadan with attractive prizes.
Upon completion of 10,000 steps during a single visit, participants will be automatically added to a weekly draw and winners will be announced every Friday during Ramadan.
The new timings for the village during Ramadan will be from 6pm until 2am.
Variety of shows
The Arabian Orchestra’s melodies will be played on the Main Stage, performed daily by an ensemble of 30 artists. Several live shows including dual harps, a violin player and a Tannoura show will alternate between the Main Stage and the Wonder Stage in Mini World.
Musical firework displays will light up the sky every Friday and Saturday at 9pm, while The Dragon Lake will also transform into a Ramadan-themed masterpiece featuring an exclusive laser and fire show.
Global Village will hold its widely popular Ramadan Cannon, firing off at sunset every day to signify the end of fasting.
Children will also be treated to the Kids’ Theatre with weekends filled with entertaining shows.
From Friday to Sunday, kids can enjoy a spectacular Arabic puppet show alongside a Ramadan-exclusive take on the Kaleidoscope Show.
