Dubai: Barrierless parking begins at Mall of the Emirates, no change in parking fees

Dubai: The barrierless parking system has been activated at Mall of the Emirates starting today.

However, the parking fees will remain unchanged, the mall management has clarified.

With barrierless parking, what has changed is how customers interact with the parking system with the new barrierless solution making the process smoother.

The new system uses advanced licence plate recognition technology. When a mall visitor arrives at the mall, their vehicle’s licence plate is automatically tracked by cameras as they enter and exit the car park. If there is a parking fee, an SMS is sent with a link to make the payment instantly through a web-based platform.

Mall visitors can also link their account to the operator Parkin’s wallet, allowing for faster transactions.
