Pedestrian dies in Sharjah run-over accident

Sharjah: A 19-year-old Afghan man died on Sunday afternoon in a run-over road accident in Sharjah, according to police.

The accident took place in Sharjah Industrial Area No 3. The man was crossing the road from an undesignated area.

Police patrol and paramedics moved immediately to the scene of the accident after the police operations room received a call. The body was transferred to Al Qasimi Hospital. The driver of the car involved in the accident was taken into custody for questioning.
