One dead, three hurt in two separate accidents in Sharjah

Leg of one driver amputated after his car rams into concrete barrier on Al Ittihad Road

Sharjah: A Pakistani man died and three others were seriously injured in two separate road accidents in Sharjah.

In the first accident, a 20-year-old Pakistani man died while two others were seriously injured after their pick up overturned on Al Saja’a Road in the direction of Al Dhaid Road on Friday morning.

The injured are a Pakistani and Taiwanese who were moved to Al Qasimi and Al Kuwaiti hospitals.

The deceased’s body was moved to Al Qasimi Hospital.

In the second accident, the leg of a 21-year-old Pakistani man, identified as S.A., had to be amputated after his car rammed into a concrete barrier on Al Ittihad Road on Thursday night.

The driver was rescued from his car but he lost his leg. He was moved to Al Qasimi Hospital for treatment.

Police said speeding was the cause of both accidents.

Sharjah Police urged motorists to adhere to traffic rules to ensure the safety of all road users.
