One dead, seven injured in school bus accident
A school bus and a truck collided leading to the instant death of the bus driver while seven students suffered minor to moderate injuries.
Abu Dhabi: One person died and seven injured in an accident that took place on Monday on Maqtaa Bridge, Gulf News has learnt.

The accident occurred on Maqtaa Bridge while the bus was exiting the city
“The operation room got a report about the accident around 1:00 pm today (Monday May 14). Police patrols and ambulances were immediately dispatched to the scene,” said Lt Mabkhout Al Kathiri, the operation officer on duty.
The deceased was transported to the center for preventive medicine in Abu Dhabi while the seven injured were rushed to Shaikh Khalifa Hospital. All victims were Asians.
Abu Dhabi Police is investigating the cause of the accident.
Al Kathiri called on bus drivers to abide by the traffic regulations for the safety of the students. They warned them from speeding and not keeping sufficient space between vehicles.
