Harsha Desai, a home science graduate has been a resident of Abu Dhabi for the last 19 years. She is also a 'super cook'. Harsha believes it is all in the family for she has inherited her mother's cooking talent while her husband Naimish too loves to cook and eat.
Over the years, her love for cooking has kept her busy while she learns and experiments with different cuisines such as Chinese and Mexican, and mastering Indian dishes. Her special areas of expertise are all types of sweets, Gujarati dishes, Punjabi dishes and Indian fast food items. Whether it is a simple jelly or a range of dishes, Harsha gives a professional touch to the entire procedure from cooking them to serving them.
She enjoys cooking so much that she began helping her friends at birthday parties and get-togethers. Now she is so well known that people invariably ask for her help when entertaining. Her perfect touch always makes a party seem that much more special.
She takes the greatest care while serving the food, laying the table, decorating it with proper crockery and accessories. The eye-catching colour combinations that she uses for the candles and flower arrangements all match the crockery and the food served in them in perfect harmony - nothing less than a piece of art.
Harsha also takes care of the nutrition value of the food she cooks. She makes use of all the vegetables and fruits, typical to the season to create the best. With a great love for Indian sweet dishes, she would like to master the exquisite delicacies of Bengal.
She has participated in a number of cooking competitions and has won prizes too. Other than cooking, Harsha is also good at silk painting, oil painting, gift-wrapping, vegetable carving and making ceramic flowers.
