Gulf Air and Oman Air have joined hands to bring passengers more benefits through the Falcon Frequent Flyer Programme.
A Falcon member can now earn miles and loyalty points as well as redeem them on qualifying flights operated by both airlines.
Now, an Oman Air passenger can enrol in the programme and earn and redeem miles. Gulf Air launched the programme at the end of 1994, which was then the first fully-fledged loyalty programme offered by a Mideast carrier.
It has more than 130,000 members in 130 countries and is growing at 25 per cent a year. Falcon awards one mile for every mile flown in economy class, and twice that for business class and three times for first class.
A free round-trip ticket in economy class between cities in the GCC costs only 6,000 Falcon miles. Members can apply for tickets for themselves or for their pre-nominated family members.
