Nominations sought for Filipino Achievers Awards

The Philippines Embassy yesterday announced the second Filipino Achievers Awards and urged Filipinos to send in their nominations. Ten employers will also receive recognition for promoting career opportunities and providing excellent work environments for their Filipino employees.

Ambassador Amable Aguiluz said the award ceremony will be held as a part of Philippines National Day celebrations on June 3. The achievers awards will go to Filipinos who excel in their field of endeavour or community service.

Nominations are open to all Filipinos who have been resident in the UAE for at least two years. They must be nominated by any Filipino community organisation, company or individual. Nomination forms are available at the embassy here and at the Office of the Philippines Labour Attaché in Dubai. All Filipino organisations, individuals and companies must submit their nominations by May 15.
