While driving home a few days ago, by Ras Al Khor Industrial Area, I was shocked to see the body of a cat on the road. She had been run over by a car.
What actually shook me was the fact that a few kittens were nearby they were obviously the dead cat's litter and they meowed desperately for their mother, nestling close to her body.
I took them home with me, wrapping them in a towel from the boot of my car. The first few days were rough as I had to feed them every 4-5 hours during the night and clean them as a mother cat would.
But they have been an absolute delight!
They are very friendly, inquisitive and affectionate and like nothing more than filling their bellies (which have grown) and sleeping on your lap. They are also starting to play and pounce on each other very sweet to watch.
I am unable to keep them permanently and I am desperately looking for loving homes that can give them the attention they need.
They nearly didn't make it, and I dread to think what would have happened to them by the roadside. I would love for them to have a good home for the rest of their days, seeing as they have been given a second chance.
If anyone would like to meet or take home these loving kittens, they would welcome visitors any time. For more information, you can call 050-7706711.
