Mother, 42, dies in car crash in Ras Al Khaimah

Her three children sustained serious injuries in the accident

Ras Al Khaimah: A 42-year-old  Emirati  mother has died and her three children sustained serious injuries in a car crash in Ras Al Khaimah late on Monday.

Major Salem Burqibah, Director of Traffic and Patrols Branch at the Dagdaga Police station, said the woman was driving with her three children -- aged  15, 6 and 4 -- when she lost control of the car, which turned over.

The accident took place on Al Saadi Road in Ras Al Khaimah on Monday evening .

Police patrols and paramedics  immediately rushed to the scene of the accident and found  that the mother died on the spot. The woman’s body and her injured children were taken to  hospital. The mother's body was later handed over to her family for burial. 

Major Burqibah urged  motorists to adhere to speed limits and not to drive in places that do not have adequate lighting.
