Misspelt signs cause confusion
Spelling errors have become a common sight near National paints roundabout in Sharjah
I work for a private company in Al Barsha, Dubai, and travel on Emirates Road every morning and evening.
There is a signboard after the National Paints junction in Sharjah which shows ‘Jebel Ali’ spelled wrong.
I had previously written about another signboard that misspelt Abu Dhabi near National Paints, which was published in Gulf News in May. It inspired me to bring this error to attention of the concerned authorities also.
The spelling should have been corrected, but it has remained this way for a long time. The same spelling error can also be seen while travelling from Al Ain to Dubai.
