Ministry to shame firms employing illegal workers

Dubai: Names of companies employing illegal workers will be listed on the ministry of labour's website as more than 50 violating companies were caught this week, announced a senior official.

Humaid Bin Deemas, assistant undersecretary at the ministry, said it is important to name and shame violating companies and inform the public of companies that exploit workers.

"A person that works for a company illegally is weak, cannot protect himself, is open to exploitation and can have no documents to prove his rights," said Bin Deemas adding that they are trying to prevent such exploitation through their inspection.
