Sharjah: A 45-year-old Omani man was killed after being hit by a truck as he was standing beside his car on the side of Al Madam Road, an official at Sharjah Police told Gulf News.
The incident took place on Monday evening at Al Madam Road in the direction of Hatta. The man died on the spot.
The Indian driver of the truck, identified as M.W., was arrested. Police investigations revealed that truck driver lost control of the vehicle after one of its tyres burst. The truck hit the man standing next to his car before ramming his vehicle. Another Omani man sustained injuries in the accident.
