Man killed by traffic signboard in Ras Al Khaimah

Ras Al Khaimah: An Asian man died after a traffic signboard fell on him at the intersection of Obaid Allah Hospital on Al Nakheel Road, a Ras Al Khaimah Police official said on Monday.

The accident took place on Sunday after a light vehicle and a truck collided. A police patrol arrived on the scene and asked the two drivers to move their vehicles to the roadside.

Police said that the driver of the light vehicle accidentally stepped on the accelerator and crashed into a signboard, toppling another signboard that fell on the Asian man who was walking on the road. The man died on the spot.

A police patrol and an ambulance moved to the spot and moved the body to the hospital morgue.
