Man drowns off Sharjah's Al Khan beach

Sharjah: An Arab  man drowned on Friday morning in Sharjah’s Al Khan beach area where he had gone swimming, police have confirmed.

Sharjah Police’s operations room received a call Friday morning about an Arab man who went missing in Al Khan area.

Police immediately rushed to the site along with an ambulance and a rescue team.

However, the man died by the time the police arrived.

The body was moved to the forensic laboratory for an autopsy. Police have asked the public to avoid dangerous beach areas when they go swimming and to follow beach safety instructions.
