Man drowns off Ajman beach

Ajman: A man drowned at the Ajman corniche on Friday afternoon, Ajman Civil Defence  official said on Saturday.

Lieutenant Colonel Ra’ad Obeid Al Zaabi, Deputy Director of Civil Defence Centre, said that the rescue unit stationed at the beach noticed the victim was struggling to swim.

The rescue team pulled the man out of the water and rushed him to the hospital.

The man died on his way to the hospital. Police did not identify the man yet.

Police warn all community members to avoid the swimming prohibited areas.
