The story that I remember...
I have been reading Gulf News for the past six years and it certainly is one of the best in the region. There have been many news reports that have made an impression on me but none like this one story.
I still remember the picture and write-up on Abbas, a nine-month-old boy who was killed in an Israeli air strike on Lebanon. The picture of dust-covered Abbas with the pacifier around his neck being lifted still comes back to me. More so because my son was of the same age that Abbas was when he was killed.

A day in Dubai
I've been reading Gulf News as long as I can remember and the articles are written with such a tremendous flow. There was a special done on a day in Dubai and it showed us pictures of what Dubai looks like throughout the day.

Poignant content
What has impacted me the most in Gulf News? Friday magazine with the section "Shawarma for Life" is really very poignant sometimes.
The stories in it are very sentimental and make you realise that there is more to life than just money, career or an ego. We should all absorb the nice aspects of another's life into our own and walk the path of happiness and peaceful co-existence with other people.
I wish Gulf News a long journey and to keep reporting the best news for the public.

Murder report
With reference to a story that impacted me the most in Gulf News, well, a few months ago, I read a report on a murder. I think both of the people involved were going to church but one man killed the other because of an argument. A few months later, the verdict was issued.

It made me cry
Apart from the recent report on the loving wife who donated her kidney to save the life of her husband, the story that deeply touched me and left a lasting impression was that of Hanumantha, the 75-year-old man who finally called it quits and exited from UAE after 30 years during the amnesty period, published on September 4, 2007, in the Nation section.
His was a story that was so touching that I started weeping — both out of joy for him, that finally he was going home and also thinking about the pitiful plight he was found in, especially the agony he had to endure over the years.
He suffered the loss of his wife. I sincerely wish Hanumantha reunited happily with his sister, his sole relative.

Team guardian
I have been reading Gulf News for nine years. On October 9, 2007, I read the report on the supervisor jailed for kicking a worker. This is not a good way of treating workers. A supervisor is the guardian of his team. He should deal in a good manner, as I am also a site supervisor.

Changed my life
Has Gulf News changed my life? The answer would be yes for the 99.9 per cent of people who come to the UAE looking for a job. I am one of them.

Abu Dhabi, too
I have been reading Gulf News for five years. It is really a good newspaper but I just want to say one thing, it mostly focuses on Dubai. It needs to focus on Abu Dhabi, too.
