Sheikh Hamdan, Ahmed, Mansoor pay Father's Day tributes
Dubai: Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Defence of the UAE, paid tribute to his father, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, describing him as a guiding force whose wisdom continues to shape the nation’s journey.
“I learned from my father, Mohammed bin Rashid, that giving is a value through which life flourishes, and that responsibility is not defined by position but by the ability to give,” Sheikh Hamdan wrote in a message shared on social media.
“From his wisdom, we draw our strength. From his words, we derive our determination. And with his vision, we move forward with confidence and reassurance toward a better tomorrow,” Sheikh Hamdan said.
Joining in the tribute, Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Media Council, highlighted the profound life lessons learned under the leadership of Sheikh Mohammed.
“In the school of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, we were raised to believe that fatherhood is a mission and a responsibility, and that building people is more important than building cities,” he wrote. “The father remains the pillar and the role model—the truest story told throughout life.”
Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Sports Council, also highlighted the pivotal role that fathers play in shaping both individuals and nations.
“On Father’s Day, we recall the indispensable role fathers play in building human character and developing nations,” he said.
“A father is not just the head of a family, but the first teacher and the inspiring example. I learned from my father, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, that a true father instills values before words and leads with actions before speech. Happy Father’s Day to all fathers in the UAE and around the world.”
