Dubai: Indian corporate law firm Kochhar & Co recently hosted a launch event celebrating their new endeavour into the UAE market.
The event was held at the Regal, Ritz Carlton Samaya Ballroom in Dubai International Financial Centre and attended by UAE businessmen and dignitaries.
Shaikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, UAE Minister of Culture, Youth and Social Development gave the opening address followed by a speech from Shashi Tharoor, chief guest and member of Indian parliament.
Shaikh Nahyan lauded the long standing relationship between India and the UAE. “The Indian community... has helped the UAE become the much revered place it is today. This new firm, therefore, constitutes a very important step towards bringing our two countries even closer,” he said.
Tharoor then proceeded to engage the gathering with his thoughts on Indian politics. He also praised Shaikh Nahyan and wished the new venture well.
“Kochhar & Co is a firm that truly understands India as well as the international world … Therefore, they will be great inclusion within the ever growing metropolis of the UAE,” he said.
The evening concluded with a speech by Kochhar & Co. Chairman Rohit Kochhar who stressed on the value of entering the UAE market.
