Watani, the social development program, unveiled the world's largest map of the UAE, made in coordination with Abu Dhabi Police (ADP), on Monday. The map, made entirely of the fingerprints of residents and visitors of the UAE capital, was part of its “Watani… Amni'' (My Homeland…My Security) campaign.

The unveiling ceremony in Abu Dhabi was attended by Major General Khalil Daoud Badran Director General of Financial Services and Administration, Abu Dhabi Police (ADP) and Ahmed Obaid Al Mansoori, Coordinator General, Watani program.

To commemorate the success of the ADP and its ongoing drive to cement the partnership between the community and the police, the campaign to create the world's largest map of the UAE was organised throughout November across the capital.

The road show covered the capital and other emirates where Abu Dhabi police provide protection and safety. Individual fingerprints of government officials, VIPs and the general public were collected on dozens of billboards.

Following the initial road show, the billboards were handed over to Watani and they were combined to create the map which includes over 500,000 fingerprints. The map is currently on exhibition at the Abu Dhabi Corniche.

Watani's support of the ADP's Jubilee celebration comes as a result of the program's continuing efforts in promoting a sense of community and social identity throughout the nation.
