Jebel Ali port warehouse blaze contained

Dubai: A fire broke out on Sunday late evening at a warehouse in Jebel Ali port in Dubai.

The warehouse was being used to store toys and home appliances.

The incident was reported to the Dubai Civil Defence at 6.55 pm and three units from different fire stations - Al Quoz, Al Barsha and Jumeirah - reached the scene and managed to control the blaze within 30 minutes. Other nearby buildings were not affected.

According to Major Ali Al Muttawa, Director of Civil Defence Operations Room, there were no fatalities or injuries.
