The production team of an Indian film is all praise for the Ras Al Khaimah Government.

Ras Al Khaimah is perfectly suited to becoming a favourite shooting location, said Firoz A. Nadiadwala, producer of Deewane Hue Paagal.

The Middle East constitutes a very important market for Hindi films, he said.

The stars and crew of the film are spellbound by the picturesque Awafi area in Ras Al Khaimah, where the film is currently being shot.

Speaking at a press conference held yesterday, Vikram Bhatt, director of the film, said they zeroed in on Awafi to shoot the climax of the film due to its location advantages.

"We were looking for an area with a mountainous backdrop along with sand dunes, and we saw at Awafi exactly what we had in mind."

Akshay Kumar, Sunil Shetty, Shahid Kapoor, Rimi Sen, Om Puri, Paresh Rawal and Johny Lever star in the romantic comedy.
