Indian firm, Galaxy offer control software

An Indian software development company has tied up with the Abu Dhabi office of Galaxy Infotech Corp of the U.S. to provide a new accounting and inventory package for traders.

The package called 'atACC' is a complete accounting and inventory control package that is simple and inexpensive.

"The main objective of the atACC was to make it user-friendly for the common man with limited accounting knowledge and which will enable him to operate it and undertake all the essential accounting and inventory operations,"said Noor Ul Ameen, chief executive, Galaxy Infotech Corp.

The joint venture between Kerala-based Atlanta IT Solutions and Galaxy Infotech will merge the marketing skills and experience of the two companies with a view to addressing hitherto untapped potential of small and medium sized businesses.

"Harnessing the technological excellence of Atlanta for the benefit of the business community in the Gulf region, particularly the UAE, in a cost-effective and efficient manner in order to establish long-term relationships is the aim of the joint venture," he said.

The users of this software can obtain reports instantly for any date or period and it has the power to generate management information which will help the management in taking quick decisions.

"It is a package with no codes concept for accounts. It accepts alpha-numeric characters for accounts and inventory masters and hence accounts or stock items can be created and identified by their names. It maintains details of all ledgers that are defined by the user."

The package also tracks payment performance of all debtors and hence generates a report wherein the user can get information of average time taken by the debtors to pay back their debts.

Moreover, atACC comes with a range of powerful features such as stock ageing, re-order level, scenario management with reversing journal and optional voucher, preview before print and others.

Atlanta IT Solutions is a software development firm based in the south Indian state of Kerala and has developed and marketed its products and projects in 15 different domains. The company is already present in Kuwait and Qatar, and has over 400 users in India.

Galaxy Infotech Corp is based in Florida and provides Web-based applications and services, particularly e-commerce and m-commerce solutions, including dedicated offshore and onsite development services.
