Dubai: The Wellbeing Show 2007 opened its doors on Thursday and runs until today at the Shaikh Rashid Hall, Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.

It is being held under the patronage of the UAE Minister of Health and the support of UK's leading complimentary health specialist, Teresa Hale.

The organisers have gathered together some of the world's leading specialists on health and wellness. There is an interesting line up of seminars and workshops that will feature more than 30 international and local experts, along with more than 70 exhibitors.

Local experts are also behind the event, aiming to educate visitors about the benefits of holistic lifestyle changes. The exhibition is made up of four separate zones that focus on food and nutrition, beauty, health and fitness and the mind, body and soul.

The exhibition expects to draw in around 10,000 visitors over its three days. Guest speakers from the world over will give lectures to the public. They include, Patrick Holford, who is a leader in new approaches to health and nutrition.

Exhibitors such as The Change Associates, who are specialists in hypnotherapy and neuro-linguistic programming were pleased with the results.

"We have had lots of interest with about 100 visitors at least," said Beryl Comar. "I am expecting it to be busier over both Friday and Saturday."
