Medical tourism promoted in Norway

Dubai: To push Dubai’s medical tourism initiative, the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) participated in the 38th World Hospital Congress 2013 in Oslo, Norway, which concluded on June 20, 2013.

The congress, comprising global leaders and policy makers, is a platform to demonstrate the emirate’s position as a centre of medical expertise and to target visitors travelling to Dubai.

Officials from the DHA presented health care investment opportunities in the emirate and provided an overview of its strong regulatory framework which applies to approximately 22,000 physicians and 2300 health care facilities.
