Abu Dhabi: Deputy Prime Minister Shaikh Hamdan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who is also the Chairman of the Red Crescent Authority and Head of the National Emergency Committee to Combat H1N1 virus, has said that authorities will offer all the necessary requirements that will help prevent the entry of the H1N1 virus in the country.

Shaikh Hamdan said UAE leaders, led by President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and the follow up of General Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, will spare no effort in combating the deadly flu virus.

Khduim Al Derei, the head of the work team in the Emirates World Humanitarian Mobile Hospital, said that Shaikh Hamdan underscored the importance of training a national team on the highest standards required, in the event of emergencies.

Shaikh Hamdan also said that utilising the Emirates World Humanitarian Mobile Hospital to train work teams will help in identifying and retaining highly skilled personnel on the national level.

He emphasised that the weekly training procedures will be vital in elevating the readiness level of different medical teams.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health launched a daily bulletin on its internet website, www.moh.gov.ae to give updates related to the H1N1 virus.
