DUBAI: Five metal straps around your wrists, ankles and forehead and you are good to unearth any potential health risk.

What's more — the dim, candle-lit room and soft music playing in the background make for the perfect setting to calm those nerves.

I am at the Breath and Health Centre in Jumeirah and right in front of me is the ‘Indigo quantum feedback bio-resonance technology' that measures and treats imbalances in your body's subtle energy field.

Eden, our petite model ‘patient', walks in to demonstrate what the machine can do.

Class 2 medical device

Close on her heels is Dr Oseela Abdul Qader, the practitioner who will take us through the various aspects of the Indigo, a class 2 medical device (typically non-invasive devices including X-ray machines, powered wheelchairs, infusion pumps, surgical drapes, and acupuncture needles) in the European Union.

"The quantum feedback is a technology for identifying the body's energetic reactions to over 10,000 ‘trivector voltametric algorithmic signatures' stored in its database, such as those taken from nutritional items, emotional imponderable formulas, allersodes, toxins and more."

Zapped by the alien-speak, I beg Dr Abdul Qader to spell it out in layman speak. "The device is used to recognise the effect of internal and external stresses in the body and how to correct them. It utilises scientific theories and technological knowledge similar to bio-feedback devices such as the ultrasound magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scan, computed axial tomography (CAT) scan, electroencephalogram (EEG) and electrocardiogram (ECG)."

Dr Abdul Qader says: "Have you seen a machine that can foretell a particular illness lurking in your body that has not been identified medically yet? This is what Indigo can do. The machine helps to locate blocks that prevents regular flow of energy in the body. Zapping these blocks rejuvenates the energy fields, thus making for a free flow of energy in the fields and removing any potential health hazard."

"Imbalances at the energetic or subtle energy level can be an early warning system regarding the health status. If imbalances go uncorrected, eventually physical symptoms will erupt, and health problems and disease will develop," she explains.

Meanwhile, Eden gets ready to lie down and get strapped to sensors that send and receive frequencies in and out of the body. The device scans the body screening all organ dysfunctions, nutritional deficiencies, spinal/cranial sacra, dental/TMJ adrenal functions, hormonal levels, acid/alkaline balance, toxicities, pathogens (viruses, fungi, bacteria, parasites), psychological and emotional traumas, and more.

Indigo identifies the energetic imbalances in order of the body's priorities. "As well as being an early system of prevention, keeping the subtle energies balanced helps to restore physical energy," Dr Abdul Qader says.

So who uses quantum technology?

"The quantum [technology] is used worldwide by doctors, kinesiologists, dentists, veterinarians, naturopaths, chiropractors, homoeopaths, acupuncturists, nutritionists, psychologists, and hypnotherapists to diagnose and treat mental, emotional and physical imbalances.

"In fact, Indigo has been adopted by Italy's AC Milan soccer team which helped reduce injuries by 91 per cent," says Dr Abdul Qader.
