Gymnastics on water

The Stars of Florida bring a water-skiing show to Sharjah that everyone from seven to seventy can enjoy

It is a highly technical sport, where skills and equipment are equally essential for having fun on the water. It has come all the way from Florida to Sharjah to enthral spectators.

It is water-skiing and you can be a part of all the excitement and challenges that this sport brings with it when you come and watch the Stars of Florida – a water-skiing professional team of 14 – perform for you at the on-going Sharjah Water Fest, 2002.

The star attraction at the fest is showing off its skills on the waters of Khalid Lagoon in a 45-minute show, now being held at 2.00pm and 4.00pm. Today is the last day.

"This is the first time we've come to Sharjah, and will display virtually all aspects of the sport, including air-chair, bare-footing, jumping, swivel, adagio doubles, pyramids and wake-boarding. Even delta wing hang gliders have been choreographed into the performance," said Don Buffa, CEO and president of the team.
