Emirati-Egyptian medical volunteer team performs 30 heart valve transplant surgeries for the needy

Cairo: The Zayed Giving Initiative has announced that an Emirati-Egyptian medical volunteer team carried out 30 heart valve transplant operations in various Egyptian governorates.

The move is a joint initiative between the Zayed Giving Initiative, Ain Shams University, Saudi German Hospital, Dar Al Ber Society, and the Arab Association for Humanitarian Work.

Dr Adel Al Shamri, CEO of the Zayed Giving Initiative, said that since its inception, the Emirati-Egyptian volunteer programme has provided treatment for half a million children and elderly people in Egypt, and performed more than 2,000 heart operations.
