Lieutenant Ahmed Al Shehhi joins 31 top skydivers for high-profile EXIT 139 event
Dubai: Lieutenant Ahmed Al Shehhi, an officer at the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai, joined 31 of the world’s top skydivers for the high-profile EXIT 139 event, leaping from the world’s tallest building.
A video of Lt. Al Shehhi’s preparation and breathtaking jump was released by the Dubai Media Office, capturing the daring feat that blended precision, skill, and sheer courage.
The event was organised by XDubai in collaboration with Dubai’s Department of Economy and Tourism, Skydive Dubai, and Emaar.
EXIT 139, the first global exhibition of its kind, brought together 31 of the world’s top skydivers for an extraordinary aerial showcase, adding to the legacy of the Burj Khalifa’s first recorded jump in 2014.
Over two days, athletes from 15 countries pushed the boundaries of free-fall performance.
XDubai, renowned for its aerial stunts and extreme sports initiatives, designed a specialised platform for the event. Extending 12 meters outward from the 139th floor balcony, the structure provided skydivers with an unparalleled launch point. With the highest safety standards in place, the event saw a total of 437 jumps.
Commenting on the jump, Al Shehhi said, “Jumping from the Burj Khalifa is a dream for every skydiver. It’s not just about defying gravity—it’s about breaking the mental barriers we impose on ourselves.”
