Abu Dhabi: President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan on Sunday issued directives to dispatch a relief flight to help victims of floods that recently swept Sudan.

Shaikh Khalifa’s move reflects the UAE’s keenness to help alleviate the suffering of Sudanese people and provide all kind of possible support to the victims and displaced people.

Recently, the Sudanese Capital Khartoum has seen unprecedented rains, leading to floods, which claimed the lives of tens, displaced thousands of people, caused huge damages to houses and properties and affected most of the public facilities and infrastructure.
