"The UAE categorically denies any knowledge or connection with this alleged network and is surprised to see the name [of the UAE] thrown into such reports which go against the values of the UAE and the way it deals with brotherly and friendly nations, especially the Sultanate of Oman," the statement said.

"The UAE has always been keen to develop and enhance those relations in line with the historical ties to the Sultanate of Oman."

The Foreign Ministry said, "The UAE is offering its full readiness to cooperate with Muscat in all investigations into the matter in all transparency and is ready to offer all possible assistance and relevant information that would help serve the investigations to reach the truth behind this issue and expose the parties that tried to damage the special relations [between the two countries]."

The UAE, "which is keen to preserve the brotherly ties and cooperation between the two nations, affirms that the security and safety of the Sultanate of Oman is equally important as the security and safety of the UAE," the statement concluded.
