UAE calls for global action against Israel’s Gaza occupation, warns of severe consequences
Abu Dhabi: The United Arab Emirates has condemned in the strongest terms the Israeli government’s decision to occupy the Gaza Strip, warning it will cause catastrophic consequences, including further loss of innocent lives and worsening the humanitarian crisis.
In a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA), the UAE urged the international community, the United Nations, and the UN Security Council to act decisively to stop these illegal practices that violate international law.
The Ministry emphasised that protecting the rights of the Palestinian people is not just political but a moral, humanitarian, and legal necessity.
The UAE strongly rejects any violations of Palestinian rights or attempts at displacement. It called for urgent measures to halt escalation in the occupied territories and prevent regional spillover that could spark wider violence and instability.
Reaffirming its historic support for Palestinian rights, the UAE stressed the importance of a political solution to the conflict. It reiterated that lasting regional stability depends on achieving a two-state solution and establishing an independent Palestinian state.
