UAE citizens can now renew passports in five minutes at Zayed International Airport

Abu Dhabi: The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Port Security has announced that UAE citizens travelling through Zayed International Airport can now renew their Emirati passports on-site if their passport has expired or if its validity is less than six months.

The service is available at the Customer Happiness Center, which operates 24/7 to ensure a seamless travel experience and enhance Zayed International Airport’s reputation as a world-class hub offering comprehensive services to travellers.

Five-minute renewal

The authority explained that this new service allows citizens to renew their passports in less than five minutes, with the new passport having a validity of up to ten years. The service is offered UAE nationals whose passports have less than six month validity. This enables travellers to complete their procedures quickly, avoiding delays and ensuring a smooth journey.

The authority said that the passport renewal service is available around the clock, ensuring citizens receive necessary support at any time.

Other services

In addition to passport renewal, the authority’s office at Zayed International Airport offers a variety of electronic services. These include updating traveller information, accessing entry and exit records, and obtaining details about visas and residency status. These services aim to improve the overall travel experience, providing integrated solutions for both citizens and residents.
