Operation Gallant Knight 3 called the theft a major setback for Gaza aid
Last Wednesday, a convoy of trucks loaded with flour and bakery supplies was delivered to Gaza’s warehouses to help the city’s struggling bakeries resume operations.
The plan had called for 103 additional trucks to enter, carrying essential items such as flour, gas, oil, salt, sugar, and other critical supplies needed to sustain bakery functions.
However, only 24 trucks were permitted to enter, and in reality, just the cargo of a single truck reached the warehouses intact. The rest of the convoy was forced to traverse unsafe transit routes through a “red zone” controlled by Israeli forces. It was during this passage that the trucks fell victim to looting and theft, resulting in the loss of most of their cargo.
Operation Gallant Knight 3 expressed profound regret and condemned the attacks, stating that such actions deny vital aid to Gaza’s nearly 2.3 million residents.
