Stay safe abroad: Travel guidelines issued by UAE Foreign Ministry

Essential tips for citizens and residents to ensure a secure and smooth journey overseas

Abu Dhabi: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has urged UAE citizens and residents to strictly follow the travel guidelines and instructions issued by their destination countries to ensure their safety.

In case of emergencies, Emirati citizens are advised to contact the dedicated 24-hour emergency hotline on 00971 800 24.

To enhance safety while travelling abroad, the Ministry recommends the following:

  1. Comply with local laws and traffic regulations in your destination country.

  2. Check road and weather conditions before and during your journey.

  3. Exercise extra caution when driving abroad or travelling by land.

  4. Whenever possible, opt for air travel, as it is generally safer and more comfortable.

  5. Plan your trip through reputable international tour operators and car rental companies to ensure both comfort and security.
