Dubai: The Emirates Programme for Excellence in Government Services in the Prime Minister’s Office launched ‘Khadamati’, a new platform offering a comprehensive and updated database of all federal government services.

The new smart portal features all the federal government entities and facilitates the process of entering, modifying and updating the data relating to the various services in line with the objectives of the Smart Government initiative launched by His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to improve government services based on an innovative vision.

Hessa Bu Humaid, Executive Director for Government Services Sector at the Prime Minister’s Office, described ‘Khadamati’ as an integrated system that provides services in a unified framework, incorporating the service systems of federal government entities to achieve the transition to Smart Government, and support the National Agenda and UAE Vision 2021.

As a unified portal, ‘Khadamati’ offers all the data related to service centres in one place to simplify the tasks of entities providing various services. It also offers instant access to accurate information, and provides statistics and analytical reports for more than 4,000 services of 200 government service centres in 44 federal government entities.

‘Khadamati’ includes several key features such as the facility to browse through various services data and information related to customer service centres of government entities. It also facilitates the updating of services automatically, which are reflected immediately in the related systems.

The system includes a mechanism to identify those responsible for entering, modifying and updating data in each federal government entity. ‘Khadamati’ also provides studies and analytical reports, which are essential to identify best development initiatives, and shape government plans and new services to improve standards of living and achieve the satisfaction and happiness of customers.

Highlighting the new initiative, the Emirates Programme for Excellence in Government Services organised a workshop attended by 100 senior government officials, heads of departments, and managers of the development of services in the federal authorities. The workshop offered training on ‘Khadamati’ to achieve the optimal use of the system, and raise the level of efficiency of the participants.

Shaikh Mohammad launched the Emirates Programme for Excellence in Government Services in March 2011, to achieve higher standards in client services by improving efficiency. The plans include new categories of government service centres, each providing a range of service options for the clients.
