Small fish released into Umm Al Quwain Creek

Dubai: The Ministry of Environment and Water has started launching the first batch of small fish at the Umm Al Quwain Creek in cooperation with the Umm Al Quwain Municipality.

The small fish are the products of the Ministry’s Marine Environmental Research Centre.

A number of fishermen in UAQ participated in launching the fish to enhance developing the fish storage and in line with the ministry’s strategy in protecting and establishing food security.

Dr Ibrahim Al Jamali, Director of Marine Environmental Research said that the fish planting process goes through several phases which aims at solidifying the development of fish and its reproduction.
