Abu Dhabi: Six new UAE Ambassadors to friendly countries were sworn in on Wednesday before His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, during a ceremony held at the Presidential Palace in Abu Dhabi.

The ambassadors who took the oath of office are Shaikh Sultan Bin Hamdan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan (Ambassador to Bahrain), Ali Salem Al Kaabi (Morocco), Hazza Mohammad Kharasan Al Qah’tani (Rwanda), Saaed Mohammad Al Muhairi (Bangladesh), Fahd Obaid Mohammad Al Tafaq (Nigeria) and Obaid Saeed Obaid Al Daheri (Vietnam).

The new ambassadors swore to be loyal to the UAE and its President, to respect its Constitution and laws and to place its interests above all considerations as well as to perform their duties in complete faithfulness and honesty.

Shaikh Mohammad wished the new ambassadors all success in carrying out their tasks, calling on them to be messengers of peace, love and tolerance for their country and to be modest with good morals and deal with all people regardless of their nationalities, cultures and social classes

He urged the UAE ambassadors and embassies abroad to provide all kinds of care and assistance to every citizen who may need help and assistance, especially patients, students, the elderly and even tourists and businessmen.

For their part, the ambassadors expressed their pride in representing their country, their leadership and their people abroad, pledging to be the best representatives and to help every citizen wherever they were.

Credentials received

Meanwhile, Shaikh Mohammad also received credentials of four new ambassadors of friendly countries to the UAE. He received credentials of Tunisian Ambassador Samir Al Mansir, Ethiopian Ambassador Tebeje Berhe, Lebanese Ambassador Shahab Dandan and Bulgarian Ambassador Bogdan Kolarov. The ambassadors conveyed the greetings of their leaders to President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and to Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid and their best wishes of further prosperity and development to the UAE people.

They also expressed their happiness at representing their countries in the UAE, which enjoys the trust and respect of all countries of the world.

Shaikh Mohammad welcomed the new ambassadors to the UAE, wishing them a happy stay in the UAE.

Present at the ceremony were Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai; Lt-General Shaikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior; and Shaikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs.

Dr Amal Abdullah Al Qubaisi, Speaker of Federal National Council; Shaikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance; Ahmad Juma Al Za’abi, Deputy Minister for Presidential Affairs; Dr Anwar Mohammad Gargash, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs; Reem Ebrahim Al Hashimy, Minister of State for International Cooperation; Mohammad Ahmad Al Bawardi, Minister of State for Defence Affairs; as well as a number of senior officials at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation were also present.
