Dubai: His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, underscored the pivotal role of media in shaping the future of the Arab world.

In a post shared on his X account, Sheikh Mohammed said: “We are proud to welcome 8,000 Arab media professionals to the UAE for the 23rd edition of the Arab Media Summit. We continue to advocate for a progressive Arab media — one that builds rather than breaks down, unites rather than divides, inspires hope rather than despair, and combats ignorance, backwardness, and the afflictions of intellectual and cultural decline.”

He added: "We renew our call for an Arab media that contributes to a brighter future for young Arabs — those who believe in their abilities and possess the self-confidence to lead their own progress and shape their destiny."
