People loved her for her boundless positivity: Sheikh Mohammed

Dubai: His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, has mourned the passing of Hala Al Midani, a Syrian woman who had lived in Dubai for 45 years.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Sheikh Mohammed wrote: "Hala Al Midani, from beloved Syria. Forty-five years in Dubai, well known among its people. She always sat in her usual spot at the old Dubai souks… People loved her for her boundless positivity, her love for life and for others, her kindness in feeding birds and cats, and her tolerance towards all creatures. She loved everyone, and everyone loved her. May God have mercy on her, grant her the highest place in paradise, and rest her soul in peace."
