Sharjah Ruler's mother, aged 95, dies

Sharjah: The Court of His Highness Dr Shaikh Sultan Bin Mohammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, on Wednesday mourned the death of Shaikha Maryam Bint Ghanem Bin Salim Al Shamsi, mother of Shaikh Sultan, aged 95, who passed away on Wednesday afternoon.

Funeral prayers will be performed on Wednesday after Isha prayers at Ahmad Ibn Hanbal Mosque and then the deceased will be laid to rest at Al Jubail
cemetery.

Shaikh Sultan will accept condolences after the funeral service at Al Badea
Palace. On Thursday and Friday, Shaikh Sultan will receive mourners
from 10am to 2pm and after Taraweeh prayers in the evening.

A seven-day official state mourning has been declared in Sharjah.
