Sharjah: His Highness Dr Shaikh Sultan Bin Mohammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, on Thursday inspected projects in Khor Fakkan.
Dr Shaikh Sultan inspected the Rifaisa dam, which is full thanks to the recent heavy rain in Khor Fakkan. Dr Shaikh Sultan spoke with residents and enquired about their views regarding the dam, future projects and services that they might require.
On the second leg of his tour, Dr Shaikh Sultan inspected progress of work on the Khor Fakkan-Shais road project. He was briefed by engineers and consultants about completed phases of the project.
Later, Dr Shaikh Sultan met with residents of Al Nahwa area. The meeting was held in the area’s Emiri Court. Dr Shaikh Sultan issued orders for building a market in the area. He also issued directives to build a park will have playgrounds and a mosque to serve Al Nahwa’s residents.
Dr Shaikh Sultan spoke with the residents and enquired about their needs. The meeting is in line with the keenness of the Sharjah Ruler to meet with citizens and find out from them about the services they need. The residents expressed their joy at meeting with Dr Shaikh Sultan, and praised him for his initiative and follow-up to meet citizens’ requirements.
