Dubai: His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, on Monday received UK Defence Secretary Liam Fox.
Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Crown Prince, was present.
Shaikh Mohammad and Liam Fox discussed bilateral relations between the two countries, and ways to expand avenues of cooperation in the fields of culture, tourism, military and economy.
They also discussed the latest updates pertaining to security in the region, and ways to establish foundations of peace and stability for the prosperity of both countries’ peoples.
Liam Fox praised the UAE’s efforts in enhancing economic and social stability, as well as the development programmes carried out by the country in Afghanistan.
He also praised the wise and balanced policies practiced by the UAE leadership on both the regional and international stage.
Shaikh Ahmad Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of Dubai Civil Aviation and Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline and Group, Reem Ebrahim Al Hashimi, Minister of State, Guy Warrington, UK Consul General in Dubai, and other senior officials were also present.
