Mohammad Bin Rashid receives FNC members

Dubai: His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, yesterday (Tuesday) received at Zabeel Palace Amal Al Qubaisi, Speaker of the Federal National Council (FNC), and members of the council.

The FNC members visited Shaikh Mohammad for directives that can help them in preparing their road map and enable them to perform their duties in serving the nation and its citizens.

Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Crown Prince, was present.

Shaikh Mohammad welcomed Al Qubaisi and FNC members, and congratulated them on winning seats in the FNC. Shaikh Mohammad described the council as a national institution that represents the people and receives support from the wise UAE leadership to activate its role in consolidating the concept of dedicated national work that serves the people and community, and looks into national issues that concern Emiratis in the fields of education, health and humanitarian work.

Shaikh Mohammad reaffirmed to the FNC delegation that his government and the council must work as a single team to achieve the desired outcomes in a way that is free of any obstacles that might hinder the march towards sustainable development.

“People are our priority, and we work to ensure their happiness using all possible means. I ask you to cooperate with the government in order to identify the needs of Emiratis and convey them to the leaders,” said Shaikh Mohammad.

“We are ready to listen and consider your views and ideas as long as they serve the nation and ensure the happiness of citizens. You are the link between the government and people, and you have to learn from the experiences from those who preceded you and worked in the area of national field work,” added Shaikh Mohammad.

“Every day we learn something new that might benefit us individually or benefit the nation and its community. Personally, I am never satisfied unless I learn something new every day that can benefit my country and people,” said Shaikh Mohammad.

Shaikh Mohammad wished Al Qubaisi and FNC members success in carrying out their national duties with dedication, efficiency and transparency.
