Abu Dhabi/Ras Al Khaimah: President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan received a phone call from Michel Sulaiman, Leban-ese President, offering condolences on the death of Shaikh Saqr Bin Mohammad Al Qasimi. Shaikh Khalifa also received cables of condolences from Abdul Aziz Bouteflika, President of Algeria, Asif Ali Zardari, President of Pakistan, and Turkish President Abdullah Gul.
His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Shaikh Saud Bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, also received similar cables from Yousuf Raza Gilani, Pakistani Prime Minister.
Shaikh Saud Thursday received at Khuzam Palace a number of shaikhs, ministers and senior officials who came to offer condolences.
President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Thursday received a telephone call from Sultan Bin Abdul Aziz, Saudi Arabia Crown Prince, who offered his heartfelt condolences to Shaikh Khalifa on the death of Shaikh Saqr Bin Mohammad Al Qasimi.
President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan received Friday a telephone call from President Hamed Karzai of Afghanistan who offered his condolence on the sad demise of Shaikh Saqr Bin Mohammad Al Qasimi.
Shaikh Khalifa also received a call from Khalid Mishaal, Head of Hamas Politburo who expressed his condolence on the death of Shaikh Saqr.
His Highness Shaikh Saud Bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, received a similar phone call from the Saudi Crown Prince.
The mourners included Shaikh Sultan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President's Representative, Shaikh Sultan Bin Mohammad Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, Shaikh Rashid Bin Saud Bin Rashid Al Mu'alla, Crown Prince of Umm Al Quwain, Shaikh Ammar Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman, Abdul Aziz Al Ghurair, Speaker of Federal National Council, Shaikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Hadef Al Dhahiri, Minister of Justice, Dr. Rashid Ahmad Bin Fahd, Minister of Environment and Water, a number of shaikhs, ministers, senior civilian and military officials.
Shaikh Saud received more condolences from Arab and foreign ambassadors accredited in the UAE, and from UAE citizens and resident Arab, Muslim and foreign communities. He also received the condolences from shaikhs and senior officials.
Shaikh Saud also received phone calls from Shaikh Nasser Al Mohammad Al Sabah, Kuwaiti Prime Minister, Mikheil Saakashvili, Georgian President, Sa'ad Hariri, Lebanese Prime Minister and Eyad Alawi, former Iraqi prime minister, on the death of Shaikh Saqr. They expressed their condolences on the death of Shaikh Saqr.
