Khalifa pardons prisoners ahead of National Day

Abu Dhabi: President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan has ordered the release of 785 prisoners on the occasion of the UAE’s 47th National Day.

Shaikh Khalifa has also pledged to settle the financial obligations of the pardoned prisoners. The move comes as part of Shaikh Khalifa’s keenness to give pardoned inmates an opportunity to start a new life and ease the suffering of their families.
