Dubai: The UAE’s Fathers’ Endowment campaign, has raised an unprecedented Dh3.72 billion, more than three times its original Dh1 billion target.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, announced that more than 277,000 donors contributed to campaign.

In a tweet on his X platform, Sheikh Mohammed said: “Just before the holy month began, we launched the Father’s Endowment Campaign—and as it draws to a close, we thank God for His guidance and all those who participated and contributed. More than 277,000 donors came together to raise Dh3.72 billion. We pray that God accepts our good deeds and yours. This nation is truly blessed—blessed with generosity, with achievement, with tolerance, and with the gifts of security, stability, and prosperity. May God protect the UAE, its people, and all who call this land home.”

Launched just before Ramadan, the campaign aimed to establish a Dh1 billion endowment fund dedicated to providing sustainable healthcare services for underprivileged individuals around the world. It was conceived as a tribute to fathers, allowing donors to honor their paternal figures through meaningful charitable contributions.

The campaign falls under the umbrella of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI) and reflects the UAE’s growing reputation as a global hub for humanitarianism and sustainable philanthropy. It also continues a tradition of Ramadan-based charity efforts championed by Sheikh Mohammed in previous years.

The Fathers’ Endowment campaign is inspired by the vision of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, for promoting sustainable humanitarian and charitable work within a comprehensive institutional framework.

The campaign seeks to make every effort to assist people in underprivileged communities, empowering them to live with dignity and meet their basic needs, with a particular focus on providing sustainable healthcare.
