Three-day exhibition organised to raise awareness about the dangers of drug use
Dubai: As part of the global campaign marking the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, Dubai Police is organizing a three-day exhibition to raise awareness about the dangers of drug use. The event will run from June 30 to July 2 at Dubai Festival City.
The exhibition is being held in collaboration with several key partners, including Emirates Health Services, the Community Development Authority, Dubai Health Authority, Al Ameen Service, the National Rehabilitation Center, and the Erada Center for Treatment and Rehabilitation, along with various departments from Dubai Police.
The announcement was made during a press conference at the Dubai Police Officers Club. Senior officials from across the UAE attended, including Brigadier Dr. Abdul Rahman Sharaf Al Maamari, Director of the Hemaya International Centre, and other representatives from the health, rehabilitation, and law enforcement sectors.
Brig. Al Maamari stressed the importance of participating in international initiatives like this one, noting how such events help protect communities and educate the public about the risks of drug abuse.
"This is more than just an awareness campaign—it’s a chance for our officers to connect with the public, especially young people and parents,” he said. “We want to hear their concerns, offer guidance, and work together to build families and communities that are safe, informed, and drug-free.”
He encouraged residents to visit the Dubai Police stand and those of its partners during the event to learn more about prevention, support systems, and treatment options available in the UAE.
Brig. Al Maamari also praised the ongoing efforts of all partner organisations, whose work in education and rehabilitation continues to help people overcome addiction and find their place again in society.
