Dubai: The of The 14th edition of Arab Media Forum will have a dedicated space titled ‘The Media Walk’ where talks and workshops by Arab and international media professionals, journalists, and academics will take place on the sidelines of the main plenary sessions at, the organising committee of the forum announced.

The two-day forum will be held under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice- President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, on the May 12 and 13, at Madinat Jumeirah.

The chairperson of the Organising Committee of AMF and president of Dubai Press Club, Mona Al Merri, said, “The Media Walk will host speakers from leading Arab and international media organisations sharing their experiences and their knowledge in a series of thought-provoking talks and workshops. The programme looks at the latest issues facing the media industry today, whether it’s technological, professional or ethical challenges”.

Stretching over 1880 square metres, the Media Walk will feature interactive events and activities, photo and video galleries from the world’s leading media organisations, as well as talks and workshops held over the two days of the forum.

The Media Walk will include workshops by Jumanah Anter, Facebook Head of Corporate Communications, Central Eastern Europe, Russia, Middle East and Africa, Joyce Baz, the Head of Communications for Google Mena, the AP’s Bureau Chief for Lebanon and Syria, Zeina Karam, and AP’s UAE correspondent Aya Batrawy as well as Patrick Baz, Photo Manager for the Middle East and North Africa at AFP, to name a few.

The Media Walk will also include 20 minutes sessions by editor-in-chief of CNN digital, Meredith Artley and Thomas Kent, the Deputy Managing Editor and standards editor for AP

The Media Walk will also host a number of talented Youtube influencers, who will share their AMF experience on their shows, which will be broadcasted, live from the forum. Through such a platform, young media professionals will find an opportunity to interact with prominent peers attending and participating in the AMF, and will allow guests of the AMF to meet and greet social media stars of Instagram, Youtube and Vine.
